Little League Background Checks

All coaches are required to complete 2 background checks.  One for California state (DOJ Live Scan) and the other for Little League (JDP). 

Volunteers who are not on the field supervising our players require only a JDP and not a Live Scan background check. Any questions email the safety officer.


JDP Background Check

Little League National requires all volunteers to complete their annual background check using J.D. Palatine (JDP).  This is an online questionnaire.  You must log into the SCLL Sports Connect website and sign up as a volunteer, upload your Driver's License and complete the forms.  The SCLL safety officer will then have JDP send you an email with additional information to complete. 

DOJ Live Scan Background Check

This is CA state one time requirement and must be completed for San Clemente Little League.  We can not accept other Live Scans from other organizations by state law.  You can completed the background check in person fingerprinting backcheck at only these 2 locations (no fees):
